History

Team Northern Construction was established in 2000, based at Dockray Hall, Kendal. The name was chosen to reflect the company’s open, collaborative approach to build long term relationships with our clients and their teams.

Team Northern Construction focused on public and commercial contracting, undertaking a wide variety of new build and refurbishment projects across South Cumbria and North Lancashire, progressively beginning to undertake higher value more professionally demanding projects, enjoying year on year growth in both size and turnover. High profile projects undertaken in this period included the Kendal Travelodge and Cumbria Tourism HQ.

The company continued to expand and in the winter of 2006 relocated from Dockray Hall, Kendal to new purpose built headquarters at Sandside overlooking the Kent Estuary. The move to the new headquarters at Sandside initiated a further period of expansion and growth for the company, which has continued to the present day.

In 2007 the company turnover grew to exceed £10m, marking a significant milestone in the company’s continued expansion. Recent high profile projects have included the £3.4m partnered redevelopment of Grizedale Visitors Centre and the £3.5m design and build of a new school, Beacon Reach.

With over a decade of successful trading in the region, the company looks to build on its experience with a progressive approach and a particular focus on high quality local projects.
