Works comprised the demolition of an existing single storey building and the erection of a new detached two storey unit, including gift shop and education facilities. It was carefully designed with architectural features to match the original station buildings and has left a lasting legacy that blends seamlessly within the existing site.
A traditional project, it included imperial Flemish bond brickwork, decorative bands, dentil course, elaborate window head details, gable parapets and cast iron rainwater goods.
The CDP portion featured the electrical and mechanical installations.
