From the beginning of every project, we try to ensure that all of the resources we use are sustainable, that we minimise waste, recycle, prevent pollution and that the equipment we use is as environmentally sound as possible.
In line with our commitment to minimise the impact of our sites on the local environments and communities, all projects are registered with, and audited independently by, the Considerate Constructors Scheme. Our sites consistently score above the national average and often well above.
Our knowledge of sustainable building methods and materials results from experience on a wide array of projects. We have completed a number of projects which incorporate sustainable features such as, rain water harvesting, solar panels, ground source heat pumps, green sedum roofs and wood fuelled boilers.
The majority of staff reside locally in the South Lakes and Lancaster areas and we will continue to recruit local people. In addition our project teams are highly experienced in managing environmentally sensitive projects including stewardship of SSSI’s
The company has developed long term relationships with its preferred supply chain partners and has forged strong links with local suppliers.
