Located in Askrigg in Wensleydale, the area made famous by James Herriot series ‘All Creatures Great and Small,’ the buildings, dating from 1755 onwards, had seen a variety of uses. The site was under multiple ownership and had become severely neglected and an eyesore in the village.
This project involved the restoration and conversion of a series of listed buildings, comprised of former racing stables, woolroom, hound-pit and yard, cottage and conservative club.
Construction involved sympathetic refurbishment to improve the buildings and create a development of 28 luxury units of holiday accommodation and two three bedroom cottages.
Team Northern Construction received an international RICS award for this project.
