The project consisted of the upgrading and expansion of the existing Renal Dialysis Unit from 11 day spaces to 19 spaces. The upgrade included new clinical space, staff rest area, offices, technicians workshop and waiting areas. This work was completed in 2 phases with the unit remaining fully operational within a 22 week construction programme. A large proportion of the work comprised Mechanical and Electrical services which incorporate a new Reverse Osmosis system for renal dialysis with integrated IT system and patient entertainment.
The project is a flagship scheme for the trust and includes high level bespoke finishes, such as a multi interlaced vinyl floor, American Oak reception/nurses station and intricate lighting design.
