Works comprised a full new build sports hall partially funded by DfEE basic needs provision.

 

The building was finished with cedar cladding and a slate roof.  The durable polyurethane sports floor provides facilities for tennis, badminton and multi sports and the school also uses the hall for assemblies, examinations and other public activities.

 

The hall nestles comfortably into an attractive part of the North Yorkshire countryside, with natural materials and gentle sloping earthworks.  Tree planting, car parking and resurfacing further integrates the scheme into the landscape.
